“Hurdy Gurdy”

~ Donovan

“Your inner Reality, your innermost Consciousness, which is constantly watching the mind, is different from the mind. Let the mind think whatever it likes. At the same time be aware that you are not the mind, you are only the witness of the mind; you are the observer, the spectator, who is watching the mind move. Knowledge is another name for right understanding of the mind. When our mind becomes agitated or turbulent, we should not think that we have become agitated or turbulent. We should be able to watch our turbulence or our agitation from a distance and see the endless creations of the mind.”
